Road Closure Guide for Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend 2020

With the biggest runDisney event of the year just days away, Orlando Theme Park Zone wanted to provide you with a singular post for you to be able to reference for the various road closures scheduled for the event.

Here’s everything you need to know!

10k – 10^th January, 2020

The one impact here is Epcot Center Drive, which is used for an element of the 10k.

• Epcot Center Drive (Eastbound)
  • Closed from 4:00am to 7:30am
• Epcot Center Drive (Westbound)
  • Closed from 5:00am to 7:30am

Guests trying to get to Epcot will be forced to use the World Drive northbound entrance (blue) – as seen in the map below.

Half Marathon – 11^th January, 2020

The route carries on up World Drive for the Half Marathon. Listed below are all the road closures.

• Epcot Center Drive (Eastbound)
  • Closed from 10^th January at 11:00pm to 11^th January at 9:00am
• Epcot Center Drive (Westbound)
  • Closed from 10^th January at 11:00pm to 11^th January at 9:00am
• World Drive (Northbound)
  • Buena Vista Drive to Magic Kingdom toll plaza
    • Closed from 5:00am to 7:30am
• World Drive (Southbound) Flyover ramp
  • Closed from 4:30am to 10:00am
• World Drive (Southbound)
  • Closed from 4:30am to 10:00am
• World Drive (North and South)
  • Seven Seas Drive to the Contemporary Resort
    • Closed from 5:00am to 9:00am
• Floridian Way Southbound at Seven Seas Drive
  • Closed from 4:30am to 10:00am

Full Marathon – 12^th January, 2020

It’s fair to say that the full marathon has the most significant impact on roadway closures around Walt Disney World property.

  • Closed from 11^th January at 10:30pm to 12^th January at 9:30am
• World Drive (Southbound) Flyover ramp
  • Closed from 4:30am to 8:30am
• World Drive (Southbound) to Epcot Center Drive

• World Drive – North and South
  • Seven Seas Drive to the Contemporary Resort
    • Closed from 5:00am to 9:00am
• Floridian Way (Southboard) at Seven Seas Drive
  • Closed from 4:30am to 10:00am
• Western Way (Westbound)
  • Coronado Springs Resort Cast Member entrance (SR 429)
    • Closed from 4:30am to 12:00pm
• Western Way (Eastbound)
  • SR 429 to Buena Vista Drive
    • Closed from 4:30am to 12:00pm
• Buena Vista Drive (Westbound)
  • Western Way to Osceola Parkway
    • Closed from 5:00am to 12:00pm
