Walt Disney World’s newest attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (SW: ROTR) in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, has something we didn’t know UNTIL NOW: 2 restrooms in the middle of the queue..Something to like that! Here’s everything you need to know!
You can use the restroom if you’ve already entered SW: ROTR queue. Cast Members that have spoken to Mike of Blog Mickey have told him Disney wants to ensure that guests are comfortable whilst in line for long periods of time1.
1: Disney also built in benches into the rockwork of the queue cave system just for guest comfort.
Whilst there is no restroom that you can find in the queue itself technically, there are Cast Members scattered throughout the queue where tunnels have been carved out as emergency exits and access to backstage restrooms.
As illustrated in the photo below, there is a hallway that tends to be manned by a Cast Member that will be able to escort you to a backstage restroom if you need to use one.
Because the restrooms are in a backstage area, photos of the restrooms are not available at this time. However, they can be seen under construction in the aerial photo below…Next to the construction access for SW: ROTR is a series of doors in the sunlight. 2 of these doors are unisex restrooms that guests are escorted to and back from.
Even though it would have been fun to see fully themed restrooms that are accessible from within the queue just like in Flight of Passage, this particular system works well enough at the moment, and it’s great to see that Disney has this system in place from day 1 of operation.
According to the Blog Mickey owner and writer, the best part about the restrooms is the fact that there is a series of hallways within the queue that allow you to join back up with your group without requiring them to exit their place in line.
Presumably, Mike used the facilities earlier today, and he was able to return back to the queue through a different hallway than what he left through to easily rejoin the rest of his party.
Because you’re escorted the entire way by a Cast Member, they know where they’re going and just about where, approximately, know where your group will be when you’re finished. To close this article, all we have to say is this: ROTR has restrooms. That is all!
