The Haunted Mansion (THM) will undergo a two-month-plus refurbishment in early 2020 after the iconic Disneyland attraction wraps up its run of Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay.
Disneyland officials have said THM will undergo a scheduled refurbishment starting on the 21st January, 2020 after the iconic attraction’s holiday is removed.
THM becomes the 3rd Disneyland attraction to undergo an extended refurbishment in 2020. Snow White’s Scary Adventure will receive a $445,000 happily ever after makeover whilst Indiana Jones Adventure will receive a $300,000 overhaul.
The last day you’ll be able to the ride holiday version of THM will be 20th January, 2020. The holiday version of THM returned for its 19th season back in September as the spooky season started at Disneyland.
Transforming THM to its normal year-round mode tends to take 1 to 2 weeks. This 2020 refurbishment is expected to stretch until late March or April. The iconic attraction is likely to return in the spring.
The work (as part of the refurbishment) will include paint and interior and exterior of the attraction along with lighting and mechanical work inside the ride building. The renovated THM will look refreshed, how no visual changes are expected to be made to the attraction.
