THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NORMAL AND “DESIGNED TO SWAY.” Watch a section of Stardust Racers track sway at Universal’s Epic Universe in the video below.
As you can see in the above video, the track sways right to left after the Stardust Racers train racers over the “golden arch.” Coaster 101’s produced an in-depth article titled ‘why roller coasters sway’ and we highly recommend you read it.
“So, why do roller coaster structures sway and is it a safety concern? There’s a saying in the world of engineering: “If it doesn’t shake it’s going to break.” Roller coaster structures are designed to sway a couple of inches as the train goes racing by, especially in tight corners and high g-force locations.”

The above video was posted in a Reddit thread on the fan-run Universal’s Epic Universe community page on the social media platform by user u/xfilesvault.
u/xfilesvault started the thread ‘wobbly track section’ by posting the video with the following:
“This section of [the] track is extremely wobbly. It looks way worse in person. If you’re in the outdoor section of the queue, look back behind you. This golden arch is constantly wobbling. Not just after the ride cart goes by. Constantly. It’s like it matches the resonant frequency of the entire structure.”
