SeaWorld’s parks in Florida will soon transition to cashless operations, only accepting debit cards and mobile payments, the company revealed recently.

Starting on the 30th August, 2023, SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island will go cashless. This will apply to payments being made at restaurants, stores, ticket windows, parking and more.

SeaWorld said cashless payments are “faster, more secure and convenient” for guests in a post on the company’s website

If you arrive only with cash, don’t panic! SeaWorld says they will be able to convert their money to a prepaid Visa debit card at one of several Cash-to-Card kiosks located throughout the parks at no charge.

It’s fair to suggest the transition to cashless operations has become common at many theme parks across the United States, with some going cashless because of the pandemic. For example, Legoland Florida is a cashless theme park.
