Splash Mountain Ride Vehicle Sinks at Magic Kingdom for Third Time

Another Splash Mountain ride vehicle sunk at the Magic Kingdom yesterday. This is the third time this has happened since 2020.

A now-deleted Facebook video (watch below) shows a ride vehicle (aka log) submerged as guests try to exit the vehicle.

As you can see in the above video, the ride is still moving as guests attempt to get out. A second ride vehicle bumps into the back of the sunken ride vehicle (appears to hit guests).

“At this point, it’s frankly unbelievable that Splash Mountain is still open and that the ride vehicles keep sinking. Maintenance on the attraction has clearly slipped to a point where it is dangerous, but Disney has kept the ride open.”

Stay tuned for further updates regarding the incident. We expect Disney to release a statement.
