Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom Reopens After Refurbishment and Unexplained Downtime

-

Although it was meant to reopen yesterday morning with the Magic Kingdom after its annual refurbishment, Splash Mountain remained closed for most of the day. However, just as the park was getting ready to close, the attraction reopened.

Splash Mountain discreetly reopened at around 7:45pm yesterday evening. With the Magic Kingdom closing at 9:00pm, guests only had an hour to enjoy the refurbished Frontierland attraction before they had to leave.

According to WDWNT, the issue with reopening was reportedly related to getting water into the attraction. The reasons for the water not flowing into Splash Mountain on time are unclear, the established outlet reports.
