According to several outlets, the Three Caballeros animatronics that were completely removed from the Gran Fiesta Tour recently are expected to be missing for months.
Back in early January, Blog Mickey’s Mike noticed that the Donald Duck animatronic was being “propped up” by a box.
A day later, the animatronic was complete removed and replaced with a sombrero on a plant – often described as a “memorial”.
While the “memorial” was ultimately removed, the attraction was in the spotlight once again when Disney completely removed all three animatronic birds and replaced them with flat character cutouts.
According to Blog Mickey, Disney has said the animatronics have flown the coop and will be back sometime this Spring. Stay tuned to Orlando Theme Park Zone for further updates.
FYI: The animatronics are a part of the attraction’s “finale” scene. Gran Fiesta Tour is located in World Showcase’s Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT.
