Back in November 2016, a Universal Orlando ride technician died while working inside Men in Black: Alien Attack at Universal Studios Florida.
At the time, WESH reported that emergency crews found the technician without a pulse in the rafters of the ride’s building.
Universal Orlando cooperated with all the relevant authorities to find out what happened. At the time of the incident, Universal said the incident had nothing to do with the ride’s safety or the guest experience.
Several months later, more information about the ride technician emerged. Courtesy of the Orlando Sentinel, we learnt the ride technician’s name, age and cause of death.
60-year-old Leopoldo Buenaventura’s death was caused by low-voltage electrocution. The medical examiner ruled it accidental.
To this day, our thoughts, prayers and love go out to his family, friends and co-workers.
