Disney has extended the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover (TTAPM) refurbishment through late January.

According to the Walt Disney World day calendar, courtesy of multiple outlets, the TTAPM will be closed for refurbishment until at least the 30th January 2021.

However, the following day, 31st January, the attraction is no longer listed on the “Closed for Refurbishment” list.

The attraction has reportedly had over a “half-dozen” refurbishment extensions going back to last summer when the TTAPM went from “unexpectedly closed” to an official refurbishment status.

Purportedly, the TTAPM hasn’t operated since the theme parks closed due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic – back in March 2020.

Back in December, Disney started testing the Tomorrowland PeopleMover as they performed maintenance and upgrades on the attraction. You can watch employees push test the attraction’s ride vehicles in the video below:

Stay tuned to Orlando Theme Park Zone for further updates regarding the TTAPM.
