Almost 2,700 Non-Union Disneyland Employees Will Be Laid Off

Blog Mickey has learnt that almost 2,700 non-union employees, aka Cast Members, will be laid off at the Disneyland Resort in California.

According to the layoff (WARN*) notice filed with the state of California, obtained by the established outlet, 2,691 non-union employees will be laid off starting on the 4th December.

With that being said, listed is a breakdown of the divisions that Disney reported layoffs for:

  • Disney Parks & Resorts – Disneyland and related operations – 2,467
  • Disney Entertainment – 129
  • Disney Destinations – 95

12,850 employee layoffs of the 28,000 have already been announced – 6,700 non-union Walt Disney World employees, 2,691 non-union Disneyland Resort employees, 2,500 members from Local 50, and 950 members from Local 11.
