Universal Orlando Resort seemingly revealed the name of the new roller coaster coming to Universal’s Islands of Adventure yesterday.
Universal referred to the new coaster as the Jurassic World VelociCoaster in an update on the Jurassic Park page of Universal Orlando’s website.
“Then feel the rush of the hunt as your race through the jungle alongside raptors on the Jurassic World VelociCoaster,” the update stated.
A time frame for when the coaster would debut at the park was also included in the post: “summer 2021.”
However, the update was altered later on, with the part about the VelociCoaster removed.
Yesterday’s accidental leak is the first time Universal has acknowledged the coaster that’s been under construction for some time.
Even with other projects were halted because of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Universal carried on working on the coaster.
