Park Hours Extended on Select Weekends in September at Universal Orlando

Universal Orlando Resort has discreetly changed the hours of Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure once again.

With sizable crowd levels experienced over Labor Day weekend, many believe the parks will be empty because there’s no Halloween Horror Nights this year.

However, it would appear that Universal Orlando are playing with park hours on select weekends, with parks closing as late as 8:00.

This closing time is now later than most Walt Disney World theme parks. Updated park hours calendars for both parks can be found below.

Universal Studios Florida

Park hours at Universal Studios Florida are 9:00am to 5:00pm, with the exception of select weekends. On the 12 and 13^th September, the park will close at 7:00pm. On the 19^th September, the park will close at 8:00. On the 20^th September, the park will close at 7:00pm.

Universal Studios Florida parks hours for the entire month of October are 9:00am to 5:00pm, subject to change.

Universal’s Islands of Adventure

Park hours at Universal’s Islands of Adventure are 10:00am to 6:00, with exception of select weekends. On the 12^th and 13^th September, the park will open at 9:00 and close at 7:00pm. On the 19^th September, the park will open at 9:00am and close at 8:00pm. On the 20^th September, the park will close at 7:00pm.

Universal’s Islands of Adventure park hours for the entire month of October are 10:00am to 6:00pm, subject to change.

Universal’s Volcano Bay and CityWalk Orlando

As a friendly reminder, Universal’s Volcano Bay will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Volcano Bay tends to operate 10:00am to 5:00pm, however park hours are being extended on weekends. On the 12^th September, Universal’s water park will be open until 7:00pm. The water park will be open until 6:00pm on every other weekend throughout this month and next month.
