Universal Team Members No Longer Using “Thumbs Down” All Clear Signal on Revenge of the Mummy

According to Twitter user Amusement Insider, Universal Team Members (aka Production Crew) are no longer using the “thumbs down” all-clear signal on Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios Florida.

Team Members use this memorable thumb-motion to dispatch ride vehicles from the loading station of the attraction. Inside Universal perfectly explain the “thumbs down” all-clear signal procedure:

“Orlando, on the other hand, favors team members putting on a grim face with their thumbs slowly rotating into the thumbs-down position – something that gets a giggle or sense of fear out of guests.”

The minor details are major, and we consider this a minor detail!

PLEASE NOTE: Policy changes like this happen sporadically, and are sometimes temporary. If guests don’t like the change, they should say so to Universal’s guest relations. The park is always receptive to guest feedback.
