As with any kind of rumour, this information should be considered unofficial unless and until Disney officially confirms…
Blog Mickey has learned that Disney plans to keep the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show closed permanently as they continue to evaluate their phased reopening plans.
The show, which debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 1992, was reportedly set to close before the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic shut the parks down.
Between the park’s extended closure and ongoing battle with Actors Equity Union, Disney has decided to end the show rather unceremoniously, Mike of Blog Mickey has been told.
As the photo below shows, the queue for the show was never marked for social distancing, indicating that there were no plans to reopen the show when the theme parks reopened, Cast Members told the Blog Mickey writer/owner.

Something interesting to note is that the other shows in the park have their social distancing markers in place for when the union statement comes to an end.
