According to WDWMagic forum user WDW Pro, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad’s (BTMR) refurbishment at the Magic Kingdom (Walt Disney World) in May was downgraded.

This refurbishment no longer features any significant upgrades, according to the WDWMagic forum user. Another WDWMagic forum user, steve2wdw, made a very interesting point which you can read below:

“Since it’s such a short refurb, I figured it was to prepare for a bigger one to come later this year or early next year,” steve2wdw said.

What could a bigger refurbishment of the attraction entail? The addition of a third lift hill…We hope! However, we’ll just have to wait and see!
