SeaWorld Orlando (SWO/SW) is making great progress on its all-new roller coaster, Ice Breaker (IB). The attraction is currently under construction next to Shamu stadium and Wild Arctic and is set to open spring of this year.
During a hard hat tour this past Tuesday, media and theme park bloggers were given access to the construction site of IB. Photos and videos from the hard hat tour can be found below:

IB is about two-thirds of the way to completion. The rest of the track still has to be installed. According to Spectrum 13’s Ashley Carter, SW shared a few titbits during the tour of the construction area.
- As riders exit the attraction, they will be right next take that launch track, so they will be within inches of other riders who are being sent backwards and forwards.
- The attraction is set in the Arctic. So to create the theme, multi-coloured gravel and low grass will be added.
- A pathway is being built that will take park guests right under IB’s beyond vertical spike.
- An all-new outdoor seating will be added to Mango Joe’s restaurant, which sits right next to the construction site of IB.
We’re very excited to ride IB. you can find out more about the attraction here.
