Disney has released an updated version of the Magic Kingdom digital map after Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat permanently close. With that being said, let’s delve into the updates to the digital map.
The most obvious update is the removal of Tom Sawyer Island from the map. The area used to show bridges, trails, and Fort Langhorn now shows as a blank green landscape. The Liberty Square Riverboat and the Rivers of America have also been removed from the map.

The not-so obvious (brought to our attention by WDWMagic) update is the temporary route adjustment for the Walt Disney World Railroad. The full loop around the Magic Kingdom is no longer shown. Instead, the map displays a shortened route, operating between Main Street, U.S.A. Station and Fantasyland Station.

The changes to the digital map come 24 hours after both iconic attractions permanently closed to make way for Magic Kingdom’s upcoming Cars-themed and Disney Villains lands. Construction is already underway backstage, stay tuned for more updates.
