This is exciting news! Legendary Imagineer Joe Rohde has today confirmed that he is working with Walt Disney Imagineering once again.
Whilst his role remains unclear, Rohde posted a short video of himself entering the iconic Walt Disney Imagineering building on Instagram today (watch below).
According to the video’s caption, Rohde is doing “a bit of work at the old farm.” Here’s what WDWMagic think the famed Imagineer is up to:
“There are a number of projects that Joe may be involved with, at least on a consultancy basis, if not full-time employment. The most likely assignments would be the AVATAR attraction coming to Disneyland Resort in California, and the major overhaul of DinoLand U.S.A at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Rohde’s return to Walt Disney Imagineering following last week’s news that he will be honoured as a Disney Legend at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on the 11th August, 2024.
