Entertainment Auditions for Universal’s Epic Universe Posted for Universal Orlando Team Members

According to WDWNT, Universal Orlando has posted an internal casting call for performers to work at Universal’s Epic Universe. Team Member submissions for the performers and skills (listed below) are now being accepted:

  • Actors 
  • Drummers
  • Actor/musician
  • Puppeteers
  • Dancers 
  • Singers
  • Animated show/atmosphere performers. 

The submission deadline is midnight EST on the 22nd November, 2023, according to the established outlet. Team Members must submit a headshot, resume, full-length photo, and an audition video link. 

According to WDWNT, Team Members auditioning should be in front of a solid colour wall or backdrop and record their full body. After stating their first and last name and height, individuals auditioning should do the following: 

  • Actors: Perform a one-minute comedic monologue and demonstration of any proficient dialects. 
  • Actor/musician: Perform a one-minute comic monologue and 16 measures of your choice of violin, percussion, or unique instrument in the genre of your choice. 
  • Dancers: Submit a one-minute jazz combination and dance reel if available. 
  • Drummers: Submit 16 measures of drumming on a single drum. 
  • Puppeteers: Experience puppeteers with a variety of puppet styles including but not limited to full-body, large-scale, animatronic, and animation puppetry. For video, after slating give a brief synopsis of experience. Submit a demo of your body of work puppeteering.
  • Singers: Candidates are required to be 5’5” to 6’ for these roles. Perform 16 bars of a musical theatre or opera selection. 
  • Animated show/atmosphere: Seeking candidates 4’2” – 4’8”, 4’10” – 5’ 2”, 5’6” – 5’8”, and 5’10” – 6’ in height. After slating with name and height, perform a slow 360-degree full turn with arms bent up at a 90-degree angle then strike 3 distinct character poses with varying levels, for example standing, crouching, and squatting.  

Candidates can submit videos for multiple positions. They should upload a video labelled with each skill. Select candidates may be asked to attend a callback in January or February 2024, according to the established outlet.
