An eight-year-old girl tragically died last week after a medical emergency at SeaWorld Orlando. Stella Quinn Dupont collapsed and went into cardiac arrest while visiting the Orlando theme park with her family.Â
Orlando Fire Department responded, successfully resuscitated Stella, and then transported her to the Emergency Room at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital. Even though she was resuscitated, Stella remained unresponsive.
Doctors discovered that Stella had spontaneous bleeding near the brain stem which occluded the blood flow to her brain. Following this discovery, she was then transported to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
Even with the best pediatric care, and the love of her family, Stella tragically passed away. Stay tuned for possible updates to this story/article.
Five days ago, a GoFundMe fundraiser was started to ease the burden for the Dupont family. Almost $83,000 has been raised so far.Â
