Back in May, an incident occurred at EPCOT when a guest assaulted a Cast Member on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. A verbal and physical altercation between the guest and a Cast Member ensued after Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure broke down.
On the 30th May, 2023, Seth Griffin Davis was spending the day at EPCOT. According to Disney Dining, Davis was waiting in line to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure when it stopped moving. Davis approached a Cast Member to see what happened to the ride, according to the established outlet.
The Cast Member informed Davis that the ride was experiencing technical difficulties and that he would not be able to go back in line for the attraction. This news made Davis irate, and he started to argue with the Cast Member. The Cast Member went to get his supervisor to help with the unfolding situation.
After the supervisor arrived. Davis began arguing with her as well. The supervisor tried to solve the situation by adding Davis and his party to the lightning lane for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure when it reopened, but the tablet (reportedly iPad) could not scan their tickets (which we can assume infuriated Davis).
This lead to Davis slapping the iPad and other items out of the supervisor’s hand, causing an injury to her left hand and ribcage. The supervisor was sent to the hospital for her injuries. Police responded to the scene and arrested Davis.
Davis was charged with battery and has pleaded not guilty. Stay tuned for further updates.
