Clutches pearls! Watch the moment a man riding Splash Mountain at Disneyland stands up in the video below.
As you can see in the above video, the man was clearly “readjusting” himself when he stood up. It’s fair to suggest he stood up for several seconds. It’s also worth noting that he was seated in the front row.
Even if it was for several seconds, this could have ended very badly (injured or worse). It takes one bump or rock of the ride vehicle (aka log), and you’ll end up in the attraction’s water.
We highly recommend you do not try this and make sure everything is sorted before you ride. It’s fair to suggest that Disneyland security may have been waiting for him at the unloading station.
