The Walt Disney World area is experiencing some severe weather at this time…

Original Article: According to Kenny the Pirate, Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom was struck by lightning this morning. 

“Splash Mountain was actually struck by lightning at some point this morning, and the ride is closed due to that event. We are unsure if anyone was on the attraction when the event occurred and if anyone was injured.”

As the quote above states, the fan favourite Magic Kingdom attraction is currently closed due to the lightning strike.
