According to WDWNT, an alleged “plumbing failure” at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas caused a water leak which led to flooding and drywall damage to several resort rooms.
The leak happened between the second and third floors of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Villas approximately 4:00am this past Saturday.
According to a post in a DVC Facebook group, witnesses said that over 2 inches of “standing water” flooded multiple villas. The leak caused the resort’s fire alarm system and emergency services arrived on the scene quickly.
The now-deleted Facebook post included images of severe ceiling damage, drywall damage and “standing water” inside a villa. The established outlets reports that industrial fans were spotted today to help repair the damage on both floors.
Disney has not released a statement regarding the incident.
