Original Article: As Disney prepares to reopen the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at the Magic Kingdom, Blog Mickey’s Mike heard a slamming noise coming from Tomorrowland this morning.
It turns out that Disney is testing the attraction this morning and the slamming sound Mike heard was the ride vehicles “slamming into each other.”
As the video below shows, the impact of the attraction’s ride vehicles was quite substantial:
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover ride vehicles hitting each other has led to a number of lawsuits in the past. It’s fair to suggest Disney is working hard to correct this problem prior to the reopening of the attraction.
The refurbishment of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is set to end on the 30th January, 2021.
