Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has named a new park president.

Neal Thurman has been named the park president of Busch Gardens and Adventure Island Tampa Bay. Thurman recently served as President of Six Flags Magic Mountain.

The new park president will replace Stewart Clark, who will be taking on a new role as Senior Vice President of Zoo Commercial Operations for SeaWorld Parks. Clark has been president of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay since 2017.

Thurman will start his new role on the 8th September. In a statement to Spectrum News, a SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment spokesperson said:

“To propel Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island into the future, we are thrilled to welcome Neal Thurman to our team. Neal is an experienced theme park industry leader who joins us after 25 years with Six Flags.”

Prior to his role at Six Flags Magic Mountain, Thurman also served as president of Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio and Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey.

We would like to congratulate Clark on his promotion, and welcome Thurman to his new position. We are very happy with this appointment.
