On Sunday evening, a Splash Mountain ride vehicle sank in the Riverboat finale scene, forcing guests riding to evacuate.
While Disney was silent initially on the incident, they have since released a statement to Spectrum News 13. Read below:
“The incident happened toward the end of the ride and involved five visitors. All five visitors were able to get out of the ride vehicle safely”
Disney has not specified what, exactly, caused the issue that caused the ride vehicle to sink.
