Universal Studios Japan Closed Until 15th March Due to Coronavirus Outbreak

The park is currently scheduled to reopen to guests on the 16th March, 2020.

Universal Studios Japan (USJ) has announced that the park will be closed until the 15th March, 2020, due to the Coronavirus outbreak. USJ released the following statement regarding the closure:

“Universal Studios Japan announces the temporary closure of our park in order to prevent the spread of Novel Coronavirus within the nation. We will carefully monitor the situation the situation. The period that we are closed may change according to the situation and in that case, we will make further announcement.”

USJ will be closed from today, Saturday 29th February, through Sunday 15th March, 2020. All tickets for this time are refundable by your travel agent only; refunds will not be available in the park.

The park is the latest in a series of theme park closures in Asia. Shanghai Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland closed in late January, and Tokyo Disney Resort and Legoland Japan Resort also closed today until the 15th March, 2020.
