Back in March 2018, Disney revealed that they would start charging guests to park their cars at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels they were staying at – a perk that had essentially been free/resort guest benefit up until that point.

In case you didn’t know, guests from the UK did not have to pay these parking charges until the 1st January, 2020. Now that January 1st has passed, parking charges are now in effect for all guests.

Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members will not be charged for standard overnight self-parking when staying at a DVC Deluxe Villa, regardless of whether they use vacation points or another form of payment.

Additionally, DVC members will not be charged to park when using vacation points to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Overnight self-parking will be complimentary for guests with disabilities.

If you have booked before the 18th June, 2019, the standard overnight self-parking charges per resort are as listed below:

  • Disney Value Resorts: $13 per night
  • Disney Moderate Resorts: $19 per night
  • Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts: $24 per night

If you have booked after the 18th June, 2019, the standard overnight self-parking charges per resort are as listed below:

  • Disney Value Resorts: $15 per night
  • Disney Moderate Resorts: $20 per night
  • Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts: $25 per night

“Us lucky Brits did not have to pay the new resort parking charges right away, but sadly those fees will now have to be paid.”
