Boeing Confirms Partnership with Disney for Creation of X-Wing Drones

Boeing has confirmed that they were the suppliers for the drone base of the X-Wings used in the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (ROTR) opening media event. Responding to The Drive in an email, Boeing stated the following:

“We can confirm that those were Boeing aircraft that flew last night at the [ROTR] dedication, and we were excited to be part of their event, but that’s all we’re sharing right now.”

The drones, which were reported about 2 weeks ago by Blog Mickey, are intended for limited use in the skies above Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
