A hefty temporary structure has shown up in the Cast Member parking lot at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
In the beginning, it was believed to be a part of the Christmas parade filming. However, this temporary structure/building appears to be something else.
Going by the above photo, it would appear the structure does not yet appear to be complete. However, working is continuing quickly.
According to Attractions Magazine, a large concealed trucks were seen dropping off supplies day ago.
The logo illustrated on the truck is simply that of the tarp company and does not relate to the supplies inside.
The structure is visible to the theme park guests, if they know where to look, as the cast member parking lot is next to the guest parking lot.

Illustrated in the map above is an overview of the backside of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Listed below is a key of the map:
- Purple: Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – including backstage areas and the attraction buildings which house Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
- Yellow:
Star Wars: Galactic Resistance, Star Wars Hotel currently under construction
- Dotted lines: Likely to be the path themed buses will take to drop Star Wars hotel guests off inside Galaxy’s Edge
- Red: Area of construction in question
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is due to open at Walt Disney World on the 5th December, 2019.

This attraction will be part of phase two of the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. With this opening, there will be a significant media event.
Not to mention another guest rush to the land. Part of the attraction’s opening is rumoured to be a stunt show between the Resistance and the First Order.
Even though this show is expected to only be a temporary part of the grand opening, they do need a place for performers to train.
Let’s now draw our attention back to this structure. A large semi-permanent structure location in between Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the forthcoming hotel.
Speculation suggests this area will first be used for the stunt performers for the grand opening. However, what would it be used for after.
Speculation also suggests this area will be used to test out the droids guests expected to see at Galaxy’s Edge opening.
It has been revealed that the droids, whilst almost ready to go, however were held back.
The reason being? Because of the fear guests would damage them in busy opening months.
This structure may also be used as a training area for entertainment at the forthcoming Star Wars hotel.
It has to be stipulated that nothing has been confirmed, nor do we expect Disney to reveal anything about the parking lot structure…
…So our guess is as good as yours. However, should you hear anything in relation to this structure, let us know in the comments below.
