Cast Members who work in the Disney theme parks (in our case Walt Disney World Resort) are known for dressing and grooming in a particular way we refer to as the “Disney Look”. However, now it would appear that Disney are changing/altering their requirements for Cast Members.
According to wdwmagic, starting on the 28th October, 2019, Cast Members will be able to wear a single bracelet and a single necklace, including a pendant an inch or less in size. Cast Members will also be able to grow facial hair to an inch, and can have visible stubble while it is growing.
Previously introduced in 2012, any beard growth would have to be done during vacation time to avoid the stubble look, and limited to a quarter inch. The iconic “Disney Look” dates back decades and was strictly enforced. Originally, a clean shave and neat haircuts were an requirement to work at the theme parks.
