
LATEST: 2023; The Year Universal’s Epic Universe Will Open
On the 1st August, 2019, Universal Orlando Resort announced that it will build its 4th theme park in Orlando, Florida.
Universal’s Epic Universe, as it will be called, will have attractions, shops, restaurants, hotel(s) and an entertainment center.
The theme park will be a few miles south of the resort’s other theme parks/water park and entertainment center, CityWalk.
At the announcement event for Universal’s Epic Universe, Universal Parks & Resorts chairman/CEO, Tom Williams called it “the most immersive and innovative theme park we have ever created.”
Specific details regarding the forthcoming theme park are not known at this time, however, this is what we know at the moment.

Location of Universal’s Epic Universe? Where is it!?
According to a map *(see below), which Universal Parks & Resorts released, Universal’s Epic Universe will be located a few miles south1 of Universal Orlando Resort.

What themed lands will Universal’s Epic Universe feature?
In a press release, Universal stated guests can expect to see “beloved stories expand into vibrant lands” at the new theme park.
The renderings which have been released so far doesn’t reveal, show or share much beyond the fact that Universal’s Epic Universe will feature a “spoke-and-hub design” centered around a handful of significant pools of water and fountains.

HOWEVER! Orlando Park Stop’s Alicia Stella tweeted what she believes each themed land will be in the park – see tweet/image below.

The above rendering with annotations suggests that a large hotel will anchor Universal’s Epic Universe – opposite its entrance. In each corner of the park, there could be at least four lands theme around the following;
- Nintendo
- Fantastic Beasts – Harry Potter franchise
- How to Train Your Dragon
- Universal Classic Monsters
The Nintendo aka Super Nintendo World isn’t exactly a rumour per say! Back in 2016, Universal and the iconic Japanese gaming franchise announced a partnership to add themed attraction to a number of parks; Universal Hollywood, Osaka, Japan and of course, Orlando.
However, Stella revealed aka told the gaming/tech news website, Venture Beat that she believes that Universal’s Epic Universe will feature a significantly larger area than the expansions currently under construction at the other parks.
