A man from South Dakota was trespassed from Walt Disney World property and arrested after slapping the buttocks of a female Disney Security Cast Member (DSCM) back in March 2023.
A YouTube channel called Police Journeys recently uploaded bodycam footage of the arrest. You can watch the arrest unfold in the video below:
As you can see in the above video, the man acts belligerently including stripping down to his underwear. He can also be heard screaming that he’s being kidnapped.
According to an arrest affidavit released months after, the incident occurred at the Three Bridges Bar and Grill at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort when Andrew Ticknor “open hand slapped” a DSCM on “her left buttock.”
The DSCM didn’t want to press charges at first, so long as Ticknor was trespassed. However, after speaking to her manager, she changed her mind. It’s worth pointing out that the DSCM was named.
Ultimately, Ticknor left the hotel in an Uber with his father, and the Orange County Sheriff’s office planned to forward charges to the state attorney’s office. He was visiting Walt Disney World with his family, who remained on property after he was picked up.
Ticknor was arrested when he returned to his hotel room at Coronado Springs and the resort manager called law enforcement. He was swiftly arrested and issued another trespass.
He pleaded not guilty to two first-degree misdemeanour charges of battery and trespassing, and a trial date was set for the 26th June, 2023 (eventually cancelled). According to Orange County Circuit Court Records, a Nolle Prosequi was filed on the 28th July, 2023, adjourning the case indefinitely. A new hearing was set for the 31st July, 2023, but that was also cancelled.
