Harry Potter fans unofficially gathered in front of Hogwarts Castle in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal’s Islands of Adventure to honour the passing of Sir Michael Gambon.
Sir Michael, who played Professor Albus Dumbledore in six Harry Potter films, died yesterday at the age of 82.
As you can see in the above video and the photos below, fans raised their wands to the sky in front of Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey to honour the talented actor.



Similar gatherings occurred back in 2022 and 2016, when actors Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) and Alan Rickman (Severus Snape) passed away. The custom of raising wands originated in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to honour the passing of Dumbledore.
