According to a post in a fan-run Facebook group for the Universal Orlando Resort hotel, a physical altercation allegedly occurred at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort yesterday.
You can read the post Marishika shared 12 hours ago in full below:
“If you are staying tonight [last night] they just closed the pool/lazy river in between Americana and continental early due to fighting.”
Marishika, Facebook
According to some of the post’s comments, the individuals involved were allegedly part of a group staying at Cabana Bay for this year’s Pop Warner Super Bowl and National Cheer & Dance Championships.
At this time, it’s unclear when, why, and how many were involved in the altercation. It’s also unclear if anyone was arrested.
Group member Kathy said one lifeguard (presumably on duty) was “taken out in a wheelchair.” You can read the comment she posted in full below:
“I myself am going to contact Pop Warner. Those parents and cheerleaders who we’re fighting should be kicked out of their group. I’m sure Cabana Bay has name since the one life guard was taken out in a wheelchair.”

Because of Kathy’s comment, we can assume that the lifeguard was struck during the altercation.
As of publishing this article, we’ve reached out to Universal Orlando to try and find out more.
