Remembering When: Guests Sprayed with Oil on The Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios Florida

Back in June 2008, guests riding The Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios Florida got an unexpected surprise.

According to Universal Orlando spokesman Tom Schroeder, guests in one of the ride vehicles were sprayed with a derivative of vegetable oil.

Following the sticky incident, guests were allowed to take showers at Universal Studios Florida and were given some replacement clothing.
