Disney has officially confirmed guest rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will undergo refurbishment.
In relation to the refurbishment, Disney posted the following on the Walt Disney World website:
“Starting in April 2021, Disney’s Contemporary Resort will begin a refurbishment to reimagine Guest rooms.”

Even though Disney didn’t disclose the type of refurbishment, they did say that the work is to “reimagine” the rooms. Permits were filed recently for the room refurbishment.
It’s rumoured the rooms will receive an overlay based on The Incredibles. You can find out more about the rumour here.
