Site Plan for Universal Classic Monsters Land at Epic Universe Revealed

Once again, amazing work on behalf of Orlando ParkStop’s Alicia Stella (Stella).

In case you’re unaware, Universal Orlando Resort (Universal Orlando) is building an all-new theme park a couple miles south of the existing resort called Universal’s Epic Universe (EU).

This all-new theme park is expected to open with four themed lands, including a central hub with its own attractions.

One of the themed lands at EU will be based on the Universal Classic Monsters (UCM), and courtesy of recently discovered permits and site plans, we now have our first look at the layout of this land.

FYI: UCM include iconic Characters from classic horror films that Universal produced from the 1930s through the 1950s, including Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman, the Mummy, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

This is the third land we’re looking at the site plans for in the past few months. Permits/plans for Super Nintendo World and How to Train Your Dragon themed-lands have already been revealed.

Please note: The site plan (images) were obtained by Orlando ParkStop through a public records request.

The site plan image below appears to show the proposed layout of UCM land at EU. According to Stella, this land will be located in the north-west corner of the park.

The permits for the site plan above were specifically filed foundation work for project 902, which Stella believes to be a land based on UCM. Stella added that since the site plans are designed for the foundations for the two main attractions:

“we cannot tell exactly what types of structures they will be specifically,” Stella said.

The UCM land appears to include two main attractions, as well as small structures for dining, shopping, and maybe some small entertainment or meet and greets.

The image below contains labels Stella has added showing the possible attractions, as well as an expansion plot which is labelled as expansion phase 2 in the above site plan. On the very left of the image below you can see some of the lanes for the Kirkman Road expansion, which will connect the Universal Orlando to EU.

We highly recommend that you read Stella’s article on this subject because she goes really goes in depth, and we mean in depth, about the land at EU. Read her article here.

These site plans for UCM land are the third set of site plans we have seen for EU. Last month, we got our first look at the site plans for How to Train Your Dragon land, and before that we saw the site plans for Super Nintendo World.

In the image below, you can see how all three lands will be situated within Epic Universe.
