The runner was participating in the Disney Fall Feast 5K, part of the Disney’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.
A runner collapsed and died yesterday morning during a 5K run at Walt Disney World Resort for the Disney’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. Andrea Finger, a Disney spokeswoman released the following statement:
“We are deeply saddened by this heartbreaking loss, and our thoughts and sympathies remain with the runner’s family and loved ones throughout this difficult time.”

Disney officials did not reveal the runners age or cause of death. The half-marathon takes place tomorrow and tends to bring in around 15,000 runners. Orlando Theme Park Zone offers our prayers, thoughts and love to the runner’s family and friends.
