A 70-year-old woman died after riding Revenge of the Mummy at Universal Studios Florida, a recently released state report said.
The incident occurred on the 25th November, 2025. The unnamed woman became “unresponsive” on Revenge of the Mummy and then later passed away at the hospital, according to the quarterly theme park injury report released by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

This isn’t Revenge of the Mummy’s first tragic event. Months after it officially opened back in 2004, a man died after falling from the loading platform onto the tracks. The death was ruled as an accident.
The woman’s death is the second Universal Orlando fatality within a few months. Kevin Rodriguez Zavala died at hospital after being found unresponsive on Stardust Racers at Universal’s Epic Universe.
Update: a Universal Orlando spokesperson told Orlando Theme Park Zone that they do not comment on pending claims. Here’s more about the recently released quarterly theme park injury report:
The report showed that 15 people experienced serious medical issues at both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando from this past October to December 2025. Several guests in their seventies ended up in hospital for at least 24 hours after riding roller coasters.
According to the report, Stardust Racers had two incidents in October where guests were hospitalised. A 78-year-old man suffered chest pain on 6th October, 2025, whilst a 61-year-old man went into cardiac arrest on the 14th October, 2025.
At Walt Disney World, a 75-year-old man “had stroke-like symptoms” riding Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
A 72-year-old man became “disoriented” after riding Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT. The report said the man had “a pre-existing condition” but doesn’t give any more details. A 35-year-old woman passed out in EPCOT’s The Seas with Nemo & Friends. The report said the woman had “pre-existing condition” but doesn’t provide more details.
Back at Universal Orlando, a 49-year-old woman felt chest pain riding Jurassic Park VelociCoaster back in November 2025 at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.
A 19-year-old woman had an “altered mental status” riding Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge in Super Nintendo World at Universal’s Epic Universe. More reported injuries can be found in the table below (above injuries not included):
