A GoFundMe fundraiser has been created for the Cast Member injured by the runaway boulder prop during an Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! performance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios last month.
You can read the description for the GoFundMe below:
“Our family and friends are rallying around my brother-in-law Robert Herrick after he was injured while working at the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, a show he has devoted of his life to.
He began his Disney career in the stunt role as the mechanic (formally known as the German mechanic) and transitioned to an actor role, becoming a beloved and respected Cast Member to co-workers and fans.
His injury occurred during a performance involving the show’s iconic (and extremely heavy 400lb) prop boulder. He and his wife Kim share a loving home with their three young girls. His injury will bring financial challenges during his recovery.
They have been truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, messages, and generosity as friends, family, fellow Cast Members, and fans alike have already reached out asking how they can help and donate.
In the spirit of giving back, Robert and Kim have requested to donate 10% of the funds raised to the Make-A-Wish Foundation (Central and Northern Florida). Any contribution will help ease the burden and allow them to focus on healing and being together during this time.”
You can donate to Robert’s recovery here. As of publishing this article, $4,000 has been raised. Let’s get it to $10,000.
We wish you a very speedy recovery Robert! Your selfless act stopped many others from getting hurt. Stay tuned for further updates.
