Orlando Theme Park Zone (OTPZ) can now confirm that last night’s Disney Springs Orange Garage incident is being investigated as a possible suicide.
In an email to OPTZ, a Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) confirmed that “this incident is being investigated as a possible suicide.” OCSO PIO provided us with the following statement:
“On January 2, 2026, at approximately 9:00 p.m., deputies responded to the Disney Springs Orange Garage on East Buena Vista Drive and discovered a man who was deceased. This incident is being investigated as a possible suicide. We have no additional information to release and will have no further updates this weekend.”

“UPDATE to previous call: Person Down, Changed to: Dead Person at Disney Springs.”
