@WDWActiveCrime (Walt Disney Active Calls) posted the following on X approximately seven hours ago:
“Police Alert – 01/02/26 – 8:55pm, Person Down at Disney Springs”

Walt Disney World Active Crimes then updated the information a short while after the above post.
“UPDATE to previous call: Person Down, Changed to: Dead Person at Disney Springs.”

As of publishing this article, we’ve reached out to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for comment.
It would be improper to speculate on this tragic event. However, it’s worth noting that the call “could fall under unattended, natural causes, and so on.”
