A video posted on X shows the moment a Cast Member is knocked down to the ground by the runaway boulder prop during an Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! Performance at Disneyโ€™s Hollywood Studios.

As you can see in the above videos, the prop boulder bumps into part of the set and leaves the track. After leaving the track, it heads towards the audience.

A Cast Member then steps in, protecting guests and stopping the prop from entering the audience. Unfortunately, he takes a direct hit and is forcefully knocked down to the group.

The Cast Member is then quickly and carefully helped up by other Cast Members. As you can see, the top of his head is bleeding. According to Disney, the Cast Member received immediate care and is recovering.

According to Scott Gustin (@ScottGustin on X), Disneyโ€™s safety team is reviewing the incident. “The 400-pound rubber ball prop is used to recreate the iconic opening from Raiders of the Lost Ark, where Indiana Jones triggers a trap and outruns a massive rolling boulder.”, Gustin said.

Update: According to Doctor Disney, the Cast Memberโ€™s name is Robert, and he ended up receiving six stitches.

He is currently recovering in the hospital, according to the established outlet. Robert, a former stuntman, avoided serious injury and saved guests from potential harm.
