IT’S OFFICIAL! Disney has today confirmed that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at the Magic Kingdom will reopen in spring 2025.

This is the first time an explicit timeframe has been shared since the Frontierland-located attraction closed on the 6th January, 2025.

This extensive refurbishment has become Big Thunder Mountain Railroad’s biggest since it opened. According to Disney, the fan-favourite attraction has recieved “new magic.”
