According to a notice on the resort hotel’s webpage, boat transportation at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (Wilderness Lodge) will be temporarily suspended in January 2026.
The boat dock at Wilderness Lodge is set to undergo a refurbishment, which is why boat transportation has been suspended. Here’s the announcement (notice):
“From Jan. 12th, 2026, through early April 2026, the boat dock at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo routine maintenance. The dock will be closed and boat transportation suspended from Jan. 12th – 30th.

Whilst the notice didn’t provide more information, we can assume that Disney will provide more bus service during the boat transportation’s temporary suspension. Stay tuned for further updates.
Walt Disney World recently announced that the exterior refurbishment at Wilderness Lodge would continue through late 2026.
