Approximately 20 hours ago, X user @bioreconstruct posted several new and detailed aerial photos which show recently felled trees near The Lost Continent (Lost Continent) at Universal’s Islands of Adventure (Islands of Adventure).
With that being said, let’s take a look at the aerial photos @bioreconstruct has posted.

- Before (September 2025): Aerial photo of a service road into Lost Continent. Road leads directly to guest access of VelociCoaster.
- After (November 2025): Aerial photo of Lost Continent in Islands of Adventure. Some trees were recently removed at bottom right.
It’s unclear why the trees have been felled. However, we can safely assume this space will be used when “construction activity” in The Lost Continent begins.
Back in September, Universal Orlando confirmed that there would be “construction activity in the Islands of Adventure land in an email statement to Orlando Business Journal.
The original demolition permit for the “construction activity” was cancelled and refiled under a new permit. A screenshot of the new permit emerged online via Orlando Park Stop’s newest article (read here).

Latest speculation suggests that Pokémon could be coming to Islands of Adventure, replacing The Lost Continent.
A Notice of Commencement (Permit) for Universal’s Islands of Adventure was recently filed by Universal Orlando. We must STRESS its unclear what Islands of Adventure project this permit is tied to.
