The Walt Disney World monorail system is currently closed following reports of a fire onboard Monorail Silver.
Shortly before 9:00am this morning, an emergency call was made for a fire near Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Based on posts on X, Monorail Silver suffered some kind of malfunction, which lead to an alleged electrical fire.
The fire produced some black smoke from near a connection between the two monorail cabins. It’s unclear if any guests were onboard Monorail Silver at the time of the fire.

Update #3: According to WDWNT, the Walt Disney World Resort monorail system has reopened. However, Cast Members are telling guests to take Boat transportation at this time.
